Poor availability leaves Dr Pepper fans thirsty

Demand for the new Guns N' Roses album, has left a bitter taste for many fans as thousands failed to benefit from Dr. Pepper's coupon promotion of a free soda to celebrate the 10-year wait for launch of the album.
The promotion fell flat as huge consumer demand for a free can of drink crashed its website. The failure puts the spotlight once again on the critical factors of website scaleability and resilience, suggests NetBenefit.

"With such a high-profile event it should have been obvious that it would generate massive volumes of traffic over a concentrated timescale.
